Romania through international eyes
Andreea Sarcani
Writers for Vivid

Andreea studied piano at Braila's school of music, after which she realised that she was more suited to working with words than sounds. She has a degree in journalism and philosophy and an MA in the philosophy of culture from the University of Bucharest.

She has published articles on social, cultural and economic matters in a range of publications in Bucharest. Her foray into wordplay was rewarded in 2002 with a special prize at the Ion Sugariu poetry competition. This will probably encourage her in becoming a writer.

During her search for subjects for her future novel, Andreea writes for Vivid about Romanian and foreign artists, thereby fulfilling a dream from adolescence.
