Romania through international eyes
Writers for Vivid
Alex Ulmanu

Tall, handsome, intelligent, educated, born March 1973 (Aries) in Bucharest. WHAT? This isn't ''Men seeking Women''?

Whoops, sorry, wrong magazine.

OK then:

Alex has a bachelor degree in journalism and a masters in communication from the University of Bucharest, and has undertaken several scholarships in Europe and the US including a Fulbright pre-doctoral research scholarship at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He has 13 years of experience as a journalist in Romanian and international media, and has co-written and translated several books on media and journalism and plans to continue with more.

At present, he teaches journalism at the University of Bucharest and Universitatea Media, runs the StartMedia foundation, works as an editorial consultant for Romania libera, and proudly writes for Vivid, the only magazine that has given him a regular column with a picture.
