>>At CERF, Richard Moat welcomed the Minister of Telecommunications Zsolt Nagy to the Orange stand. Earlier, Steve Bailey of Research in Motion and Bogdan Rauta of Orange launched Blackberry in Romania, at a press conference in the Hilton.

>>The Crowne Plaza staged a charity dinner and fashion parade with all proceeds going to Unicef. Featured designers included Doina Levintza, Pal Zileri and Mehdi.

>>Bob Ferran, Radu and Helene Florescu were among guests at the launch of the United Way of Romania, at the J W Marriot.

>>"Don't worry, be happy," sang Bobby McFerrin, and the crowd at Sala Palatului sang along too.

>>British Ambassador Quinton Quayle hosted a cocktail party for the launch of the BBC's World Service, which is now available at 88FM. Guest of honour was Romania's president Traian Basescu.

>>The Crowne Plaza's Peru Week was a colourful occasion which featured Incan cuisine, Peruvian dancers and musicians.

>>Cina in Piata Revolutiei never looked so good. Renamed The Terrace, it has been given a completely new look by ING and is managed by Amsterdam. The launch party had a 1920's theme to it.

>>Sorana Urdureanu at the launch of Interactive TV, a new music-based television station, of which she is the general director.
