If you went on 'Mastermind,' what would your special subject be?
Human anatomy.
Flowing, trying my best to avoid any clots.
Do you, or have you, ever had a nickname, and if so, what?
I always wished I did, but only managed to name myself when I was very young - Andana. a mix between Alexandra and Denisa - I must not have been very happy with either.
What is your earliest memory?
When I was two, I cut my own hair, and hid under the bed from my dad.
What were you like at school?
I lived on my own planet.
Are you a good dancer?
Only after a refreshing margarita.
What is the last good book you read?
The Agony and the Ecstasy, by Irving Stone. This book taught me that you can love everything, not just humans. Michelangelo was making love to the marble when he sculpted.
What is the last CD you bought?
Actually, I bought two: Putamayo - World Groove, a compilation of songs from all over the world, and Hang On Little Tomato, by Pink Martini, from Carturesti.
Do you collect anything?
Postcards, fountain pens, and different waxes and seals to seal envelopes with.
Have you ever had a near-death experience?
Warner Brothers should have filmed me; while skiing, I slid under a fence and almost cracked my nugget.
Would you sunbathe naked?
On a deserted beach.
Have you got any scars?
I got bitten by a dog when I was seven, in Romania of course.
Would you ever consider getting a tattoo?
Yes, but this question continues to baffle me, because I don't know what to get, or where to put it.
Where did you spend your most recent holiday?
I'm always on a holiday - I can't escape my mind.
If you could holiday anywhere, where would it be?
Inside my dog's mind.
If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
French Polynesia.
Why?
I'd want to live on an island. I'd want to live primatively - I'm sick of cities. I'd want to sail, and fish, all day long, and only eat fruit, vegetables and fish.
What is your greatest personal sporting achievement?
This is tough. Although I am quite proud of my black belt in tae kwon do, and my lifeguard certificate, I took an intensive contemporary dance course that blew me away.

What is your most recent extravagance?
My camera: a Nikon D80. It's my most prized possession.
Once, in Brooklyn, I woke up with a bug inside my mouth.
What is your favourite musical instrument?
The guitar I have that's waiting for me to learn to play it.
What would you personally like to achieve in the future?
The sky's the limit.
How do you taste?
Some goat cheese from France, a hint of salt, rosemary, chilly pepper, and on occasion - basil.
What do you like least about yourself?
My fears.
What do you like least about yourself physically?
My arthritic right toe.
What qualities do you most admire in a man?
His capacity to feel, think, and act like a man - and of course his potential to grow a beard.
What qualities do you most admire in a woman?
The same, but scratch the beard part.
Is the glass half-full, or half-empty?
Its 10 per cent half empty, 90 per cent half full.
If you were not doing your current job, what might you do?
I'd be a famous art critic, actor and undercover photographer for the CIA.
Who is your favourite character in Sex and the City?
Big and Carrie, although you gotta love Samantha.
Where were you on 22nd December, 1989?
Dodging bullets in the house, in my apartment. They were firing in a lot of places.
What do you do passionately?
Exist.
What is your most prized possession?
My memories with Peter, a beloved friend who to my great misfortune is no longer with us.
What is your worst addiction?
I spend too much time on the phone.
What do you always carry with you?
My contact lenses.
What might you be reincarnated as?
A big, beautiful tree.
What is the most you have ever paid a hairdresser?
I'm embarrassed to say.

Describe an enjoyable meal.
I was in South Palm Beach, and my friend Peter was barbecuing sirloin steak hamburgers and potatoes. It was a very starry night, the weather was great, we smoked cigarettes and listened to James Taylor.
What was your first car?
Mitsubishi Coupe Mirage - it's still at my parents' house and they keep it for when I come home.
What do you do in hotel rooms?
Jump on the bed, and steal the shower caps.
What is your all-time favourite television show?
Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, and I Love Lucy.
What is your all-time favourite work of art?
My mother.
With which literary character do you most identify?
Pip, in Great Expectations, but I was tempted to say Fyodor Dostoevsky's Raskolnikov - however, I have never killed anyone.
Have you had any interesting jobs before this?
Yes, I was a hostess at a Big Fish Seafood Bistro in Princeton, New Jersey.
Have you got any pets?
Layla, my beautiful, but sometimes sad Weimaraner.
How much money have you got on you now?
This is an iffy subject.
What is your favourite website?
I would have said youtube a couple of months ago, but not any more.
Is the art of letter-writing dead?
Oh, my wishes are that it never fades away however. But not everyone can write letters.

I've called Andrew, does that count?

No. I was, but it expired.
When was the last time you were in a fight?
A fist fight?! I haven't had the honour. There's a couple of people I'd like to punch, though.
Who is the sexiest person in the world?
My definition of sexy is a bit slanted... interesting means sexy - so I'd have to say - Anthony Hopkins.
Who is the sexiest person you know?
I don't know anyone who is sexy.
Do you talk in your sleep?
I haven't woken myself up yet.
When did you last have too much to drink?
Last night I went out with my friend Doina, who won't call me now.
What is the best rock concert you were ever at?
I went to see the Rolling Stones and they sucked. It was a waste of money.
If you had three wishes, what would they be?
1.To never wake up tired. 2.To abolish all my fears 3. I'd like to bathe with hot water (I live on the sixth floor and it takes 45 minutes to get here!)
If a film was made of your life, which actor would best play you?
Jodie Foster.
What is best about living in Bucharest?
The newly planted trees and flowers.
